
No Salt Beef and Bean Chili
Ingredients
2.5 to 3lbs of ground chuck
1 can of diced roasted tomatoes
1 can of no-salt black beans
1 can of cannellini beans
1 can of organic chili beans
1 can of whole berry organic cranberry sauce
2 tablespoons of Carolina Bobs' All Purpose Seasoning No Salt
Preparation
Step 1: Brown the meat with the seasoning, transfer to a large pot, and then add the remaining ingredients. You may or may not drain the beans, as you prefer.
Step 2: If you do drain the beans, you should add at least 1 cup of vegetable or chicken broth to the pot. Add more broth for a soupier chili. Simmer for an hour (This can also be made in the crockpot for 4+ hours on low after you brown the beef on a stovetop.)
Optional: You can add chopped onion and/or bell pepper to the pan as you
brown the beef. You can also make this with just 1 lb of beef, the same amount of canned ingredients (or leave out the cannellini beans), and use just 1 Tbsp of Carolina Bob's seasoning.
NOTE: If vou aren't avoiding salt, you can follow this recipe and add 2 tsp of salt of your
choice to the meat.
